Brenda (Mills) Stonehouse, BFA

 

I was born and raised in South Western Ontario and I live and work out of my home studio in a rural area just outside Wallaceburg, Ontario.  I graduated from Western University in London, Ontario, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree.

 

I work in several mediums; water-colour, acrylic, and pencil; however, oil seems to be my favourite.  My work has evolved in many different directions, but the commonality in all of my work is my love of nature, the great outdoors and what it means to be Canadian.  

 

While spending time with friends and family throughout Ontario, I use photography as a record keeping tool to assist me with my painting or I paint Plein Air and return to the studio to paint larger work.
